FRAMES... let's me sing like an adult!

YAY! There is a track out there now in which I am singing (or ahhh-ing and ooohing in the background) slightly more like an adult... and a little less of a yell/child/screaming vibe.

I was rather chuffed when FRAMES asked me to add some vocal layer lushness to his rad remix of Polographia's tune 'Tropic Fruit'.

NOW - be warned, you may end up with what I am calling slight obsessive compulsive press play/repeat disorder. Frames - can you please make a whole record so I can give my play button a rest? Thanks.

Hollie Martin 4 INCU

One of my favourite people on this planet we call earth is about to do something that will give me even more reasons to be madly in love with her.

Hollie posted up this picture today on the www as a little taste of what's to come as of the 23rd April, when her instalation for Incu goes on display in The Galeries. I am sure there will be some kind of launch thang on... I'll be the one there wearing the 'holllie 4 eva' t shirt.

JOURNO's JAM

I'm very excited and proud to be playing this Thursday night at Upstairs Beresford for the SOLD OUT Journo’s Jam
It's a fundraiser held in support of Today Tonight’s Sally Obermeder who is suffering from an aggressive form of breast cancer.
The night will be hosted by The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur, with bands from Network 10 and the 7 Network performing, plus complimentary drinks on arrival, exclusive lucky door prizes and raffles.
Pretty rad right?!

Jonze... Pluto Jonze

CADILLAC - Island times

Last weekend I donned my "band" t-shirt to represent, and headed out to The Island to see two of my favs play... Frames and Cadillac

I unfortunately didn't make it out there in time to see Frames play but from all accounts he played so well, the sun couldn't even resist coming out to have a boogie. I did however make it just in time to see Cadillac - and wow what a backdrop they had behind them to set the mood. The boys are continuing their summer trip with shows in Surfers Paradise tonight (how appropriate) and then Brisbane tomorrow.

Hint hint...

I'm not one for Valentines Day bullshit and hype - but I'd be willing to take one for the team/make an exception, and receive tickets to MAYER HAWTHORNE's SYDNEY SHOW as a gift.

SOSUEME ACT OMG!

To keep the O Week party going at the University of Canberra, I'll be heading down south with SOSUEME DJ's to play with KOOLISM and (woah, so excited as I love them) the BUMBLEBEEZ this Friday.

Cannot. Wait.

Tickets through MOXTIX.

You can sure get to know me MAYER HAWTHORNE

Righto... who's gonna sexy slow dance with me at MAYER HAWTHORNE's show?

He's coming to Sydney to play at the Metro Friday 24th Feb.

If you haven't heard his stuff before, do yourself a favour and buy his album now. It's one that has been heavily on repeat for a while now here in my pad.

Agreed...I really want you to get to know me Mayer.

Perth FRINGE WORLD FEST

EMERALD CITY SPIN is really proving to be an ongoing success! I was recently contacted and asked if it could be screened at the Perth FRINGE WORLD FEST - to which I of course said 'hell yeah'. It was shown at an event called Parts For Polo in which bike minded folk could come and browse, haggle and sell their bike gear, and then afterwards a whole bunch of bike films were shown (and one of those was ours!).

The event was free, however people were encouraged to donate gold coins to go towards the Bike Polo Nationals. From what I hear the event was so much of a success there was even a follow up encore screening the day after!

Here's one picture of our little film up on the big screen once again...

Hayden from Cadillac shows us some beats...

Look who it is giving us some insight into all his top tunes on Beatport right now!
OOOhh... loving these selections Hayden.

Fowl Murk Feat Big H & Monica Winter - Mind Frame

I originally met Fowl Murk and Monica Winter at a Heaps Decent workshop in Hurstville towards the end of 2011. Since then, the two have been coming each week to Homebase in Redfern and they are producing some great work! Check out this one below....
