Operation fracture distraction!

Little Miss Eirlie unfortunately fell off her bike doing rad tricks and fractured her poor arm. Luckily, Jayde was there to escort her (via an ambulance) to the hospital, take her home and tuck her into bed. Jayde - you are a wonderful friend...xx

The following day my friend Lauren came to visit me from my old stomping ground of Melbourne-town, so she got to join in with Operation Fracture Distraction! A home cooked meal and then some sunshine on the beach was very much in need to put a smile back on Eirlie's face. We hope it worked :)

GRIZZLY BEAR

I had the pleasure of accompanying a good friend to see Grizzly Bear at Recital Hall last night. THEY WERE AMAZING. I cannot flaw the show. It was one of those concerts that flew past in what felt like seconds. I could have sat there all night in awe watching them.

LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Thank the lord for insurance.

I just heard that I possibly will be getting some money back from insurance after my phone was stolen. If this happens I'm going to be one happy girl. Fingers, legs and eyes crossed...

I love Christmas

I really enjoyed being in Sydney for Christmas this year. I didn't have to race up here and visit family in 24-hours so it was a little more chilled. Plus, I luckily get to spend christmas with one of the funniest and most rad people in the world - my brother.
He is my partner in crime.
From getting extremely drunk, to corrupting our newly born relatives, to playing Animal Collective on repeat or starting a dance off in the living room with the whole family.
It is always fun hanging with him.

Birthdays with The Church

I've known Tim Powles for a few years now as I've sung for him on various records he's produced at his studio - but you may know of him through his band The Church - "Under The Milky Way tonight...". For his birthday he organised a massive jam with all his muso friends for his party, and I was lucky enough to be asked to sing some songs!
So not only did I get to sing with great (and legendary) musicians backing me, but I then also got to sing with my dad (who is a musician himself) as they needed a replacement male vocalist at the last minute for one song :)
Unfortunately, as I was up on stage I didn't get any photos of myself or dad up there but I did get one of my favourite acts of the night... Iota (of recent Rocky Horror fame). His outfit alone was amazing, and as always his performance matched the outfit and blew everybody away.
It was a fun night - (and a bit of an honor singing with the band) - Happy Birthday Tim!

Live art at Oxford Art Factory

A few weeks back there was a live performance art going on next to me in the Gallery room at Oxford Art Factory while I was playing. It was the best performance in that space that I have seen so far. I would love to know who it was...
